About Partnership Futures
Partnership Futures is a national network of partnership practitioners.
Our aims are:
- To provide a national partnership practitioner-based network to inform government strategy, policy and practice;
- To provide a national network and voice for partnership practitioners and the benefits of collaborative working;
- To learn from each other and what works through discussing, sharing and disseminating best practice.
It is a unique not for profit network, the only national network of it's kind in the country, run solely 'by partnership practitioners for partnership practitioners' independent organisation that is driven by the membership. We work with government and other national and regional organisations to influence and inform emerging policy ideas and develop effective ways of implementing them.
What is the Context?
The network will operate within the context of the Coalition Government's agenda for collaborative working at a local level, specifically in relation to:
- Government strategy, policy and practice including its significant reform programme;
- Tough financial settlement that requires partners to collaborate in new ways to jointly address financial challenges and jointly deliver value for money services and programmes;
- Reduction in national targets and guidance which has stimulated local partnership arrangements to focus on their own locally defined priorities and commitments;
- The future fit and shape of sustainable community strategies being developed and delivered through the construct of strategic partnerships or new collaborative arrangements.
What are the Values and Principles of the Network?
The network will:
- be independent; have integrity; and
- be legitimate in the eyes of those it seeks to influence.
